Hercules explained as fiction instead of mythology.
An adequate movie.
I watched the extended version.
- 0:45 — I recognize that narrator, from all over the place.
-
1:00 —
-
3:00 — Labours of Hercules:
-
4:00 — Macedonia (Greece)
- Also, that actor does not have the narrator’s voice..
- 5:30 — I don’t know if there’s any mention in the mythology about him having companions.
- 6:30 — How does such a big man hide behind that guy?
- 6:45 — Uncle?
- 6:45 — Oh my, so this was indeed casual misandry.
-
8:45 —
- 9:30 — I’m not going to bother listing all the labours and treasures. That stuff is easy enough to find by looking through Labours of Hercules.
- 10:15 — She strongly reminds me of the mother from 300 – (2006 movie). I suppose it’s her manner and dress.
- 14:15 — Palace of King Eurystheus, Athens
- 15:15 — Peafowl
- 16:30 — Oh my, that’s John Hurt.
-
17:45 — God dammit, every fucking time it’s got to be about the women.
- Amazons (mythology)
- 20:00 — Save the kingdom, win the princess.
- 22:00 — Why are they training soldiers? They’re mercenaries..
- 27:00 — That’s a reference to Bondage (BDSM)
- 28:30 — Some other famous names. I’m sick of delving into the nuances of Greek mythology.
- 37:15 — It would have been nice for her to have extraordinary competency at climbing.
- 44:00 — She’s pretty.
- 47:00 — That’s Cerberus.
- 47:45 — The oracle at Delphi
- 55:45 — Centaur
- 1:05:30 — Archers..
- 1:06:00 — Language.
- 1:06:00 — What about the whole magic thing?
- 1:22:30 — It was that simple to break his bonds..
- 1:22:45 — How could she do anything with an axe to break them out?
- 1:23:00 — He wasn’t armored.. how come he isn’t hurt?
- 1:26:30 — That’s a khopesh isn’t it?
-
1:30:00 — That was a perfect opportunity for a Wilhelm scream.
