- The notion that humans have no free will and everything they ever produce is only built on top of other things is so god damned wrong. Original thought exists. Original assembly of existing ideas exists. Copyright is a valid concept because people have a right to be the exclusive beneficiary of their own efforts. It doesn't matter that a person had to learn a language and grow in a culture to make a work, they don't owe everything to the entire lineage of civilization and current epoch.
