For YouTube, don’t go to http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=google&view=videos and use the above link. (Replace “google” with your username of choice)

That’ll give this bad URL: http://gdata.youtube.com/feeds/base/users/google/uploads?alt=rss&v=2&client=ytapi-youtube-profile

Instead, manually make this good URL: http://www.youtube.com/rss/user/google/videos.rss

I think this is preferred: http://gdata.youtube.com/feeds/base/users/google/uploads

• No RSS for favourites

• so this will fail

  • Replace “google” with your user of choice.

• Search results should be sortable. I’d like to see them with the newest at the top.

  • It seems that this is already done.
• Videos are not displayed in their proper widescreen format. F-A-I-L.
• It explicitly tracks you and trends you. WHAT THE FUCK.

• It starts to insert nonsense you didn’t ask for from people who are “sharing”. I don’t know how to turn off this “featured”.

  • You have to really fiddle around to disable this. Click an item, click on the person’s name, you can get into your settings. You have to remove yourself from sharing with people and hide anyone who is sharing with you. What a pain in the ass.
