After finding the shop, it's quite nice. There are some remarkable differences between 1 and 2 .. 2 is not necessarily better.

Properly titled Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance II
The third try ∞
The extreme mode takes your overpowered character and puts it at the start of the game again, with no equipment.
It's.. strange. And tedious. But mostly stupid.
The second try ∞
The shop was buried in a corner. I must have talked to him once to get rid of the damned exclamation point, and then I didn't notice him again because while in town you can't change the camera angle. Which really sucks.
There are notible differences between 1 and 2. The classes are different, so you have no chance to continue your gameplay fun with the same kind of character. The new classes seem pretty lame, so I went with the barbarian. Loads of fun, but zero fun feats. =/
Dual-wield, critical improvement, and wielding two great swords. Great swords give an automatic cleave on the third hit. Later, when I got the perfect great axe, I could do 600 damage a shot.
Trolls were candy, killed in a couple of hits. Even giants and golems were simple to kill.
All other feats were just there to take up space.. I got bunches of other things just for kicks.
The game doesn't tell you what the critical range or result would be on your weapons.. so you have to sortof guess as you go. The scimitar has always been nice.. criticalling frequently.
Well.. aside from that, the extra-dark gameplay continues. Changing the brightness doesn't help.. so you end up wandering around on black ground bumping into black walls .. a lot. Really kills the gameplay.
Desperately needs randomly-generated areas for some kind of replayability.
The ending sucks. Just another bunch of bullshit with a sequel hint.
The first try ∞
It's only a slight diversion from Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance, with new characters and such.. but it seems to be fairly unplayable. The necromancer looks interesting, but feels hopelessly useless.
As usual, the skeleton is horribly stupid.
And.. umm.. THERE'S NO SHOP IN THE GAME. Dammit. What the heck! And I dropped some stuff, and it promptly vanished. So it seems that some things are different in this game vs the last one. Sigh.
Unless I'm missing something, it's unplayable. No shop, no selling stuff, no buying stuff.. no buying potions. No gameplay. =/
