This must have been ancient.
Issues ∞
Gives nice “disk problem” errors when downloading sometimes, then spontaneously corrupts my entire profile, nuking all of my preferences and generally shafting my downloads.
When resuming a download from the incomplete files list, it’ll skip to the download view, which is NOT what I want.
Unnecessarily builds temporary files to play things as they’re downloading. I’m not fucking using Windows so I don’t need that sort of BS. Leaves those various temporary files laying around without ever bothering to clean them up properly.
An earlier version of the unregistered Limewire had a bug in it where if it were up for a while it would freak out and get an amazing connection. Heh. It’s the version in ~.85 of PCLinuxOS.
Doesn’t bother to delete temporary files when cancelling a download, leaving all sorts of crap in its temporary files view. Meaning that if you ever actually wanted or needed to look through the temporary view (like when it nukes your preferences) you’re really screwed.
Incorrectly sorts by size. This seems to bounce around version by version. I remember that it used to work. =/ How is 1,000 KB larger than 600 MB ?
100% downloaded should mean that it has downloaded 100% of it. So stop downloading and save the file. =/ This seems to be a problem with several downloads, or it could be some fucked up client on the uploader-end, or a nasty bot of some kind.
Have fun looking through the incomplete folder for anything. With the crap in front of the filenames, the filename sorting won’t be proper anymore. =/
It seems to not properly search downloads.. I often get great results searching for particular search terms a second time, and automagically my downloads get bunches of more sources.
When I ‘browse host’, just WHICH HOST DO I BROWSE?! Why can’t I browse a particular one, or all of them?
Don’t allow one to browse the same host again and again, opening up new tabs.
What’s the point of displaying a ‘speed’ column when I’m browsing a host. Won’t all items have the same speed value since they’re from the same person?
Features needed ∞
- Specify a particular Incomplete folder. Yes, people should keep it on the same partition as their downloads folder.
- Abort a download and write out what you have to a proper file.
- Save various kinds of files to various different locations, based on a regex (or just based on the file extension)
- It should automatically search for more sources!
-
Automatic re-searching of search tabs would be nice. =/
