For some reason, this is still included by default in many distributions.

It’s an awful, awful program. Its UI is such shit that I’ve still got habits to double-check where my cursor actually is before interacting. Fuck you, PCManFM. Fuck. You.

• A component of LXDE.

• (almost) Entirely obsoleted by SpaceFM.

• 2011-09-11 – PCManFM-mod (version not recorded) on Unity Linux an outdated beta before the Mandriva repository stuff and before 2011 Alpha 2.

• I had been using it for a while earlier.

I was still using this to rename my old broken-assed filenames which both the console and SpaceFM could not handle.

I desperately needed this mod. When navigating directories, the location of the cursor must be remembered. To do otherwise is fucking retarded.

\smart install \
  intltool \
  libstartup-notification-1-devel \
  ` # Or you can --disable-hal ` \
  libhal-devel \
    dbus-glib-1-devel \
  libgamin-devel \
   ` # `
./configure
make
make install

Works fine.

Removing “leftover” programs lingering around in the “run with” dialog ∞

• When using alt-left to go back, I either have an issue where I cannot shift-up/shift-down to highlight files, or I can’t properly cursor up/down. Sigh.
