A unique space-western in the Firefly - (2002 show) universe, meant to both stand apart its own film and to conclude the Firefly series.
I don't know that I'd recommend this for people who haven't seen the Firefly TV series, but for those who have seen and liked the series this film becomes mandatory viewing.

I don't have much to say about Serenity other than I liked it just fine.
Serenity has a different tone than the series. Bits of it feel incomplete or rushed to me. I definitely wouldn't recommend viewing this movie immediately after watching the series.
Firefly needed some measure of closure and this movie does the job just fine. I do, however, recommend reading the comics because they explain quite a lot of other interesting things like the back stories for Shepherd Book and Wash.
Inara Gris, played by Morena Baccarin, is such a hottie.
- 0:54:55 -- Inara dusts herself off, sneaks over to the gun and shoots him. End of movie.
- 0:55:30 -- What miraculous timing on the flash bomb.
- 1:04:55 -- Just a touch of explanation before showing the aerial shot would have halped. After the "wait a sec" a little orbital shot perhaps? It was odd seeing the cut to the flying view of the area.. since the ship was in space while they were talking.
1:38:10 -- Jayne knocks over some of their "cover". How can it be cover if it can be knocked over like that? Even if it was bulletproof, a bullet would make it go flying..
