A commandline music player.
One of the best out there. It’s extremely obvious to use.

2017-11-06 – 1.50andreasvc on Devuan-1.0.0-jessie-i386-DVD with Python 2.7.9
- I found a couple of minor issues, but it’s otherwise working as-expected with the light testing I did.
-
2017-11-05 – I emailed the mailing list to see if there’s anyone out there.
- Wow, there are!

2010-01-02 – (version not recorded) on (distribution not recorded) with (python version not recorded)

- 2009-06-01 – (version not recorded) on (distribution not recorded) with (python version not recorded)
- 2007-08-08 – (version not recorded) on the Zaurus SL-C1000 with (python version not recorded)

2007-08-07 – cplay-1.49.patched3 on the Zaurus SL-C1000 with (python version not recorded)
- Doesn’t work. =/ The audio pops and nothing plays. Too bad.
-
I must have used other versions at earlier points, at least on the Zaurus SL-C1000 but possibly on my desktop. No notes were recorded.

[2017-11-06 – update: There are some maintainers out there]
- TODO – Patches that are floating about, add them.
- TODO – Contact everyone who has been interested. Resurrect the project.
-
TODO – Gather my notes and other sources, and host anything that’s unloved.
2009-06-01 – (version not recorded) ∞
- I modified the command for mpg123 to add
--aggressive. -
cplay doesn’t report when mpg123 or
mpg321do not exist.
