Yeah, I haven't updated this in a while. I'll revisit this concept eventually.
I haven't really decided what I should focus on this July, August, September. I'll keep this post updated.
Continued from 2013 second-quarter immersion.
backup script revisions ∞
My previous efforts got GitHub working again, using the new Smart HTTP.
Since I have an altered setup, I need to review my backup script, merge separate efforts together and craft something which others could potentially use.
- unify every re-imagined backup script from my previous semi-broken setups.
- use an external .ini file like I do for WoW, and make it possible for the script to work under very different configurations.
-

SD card UUID-based backups.

Review bash ∞
Consider Zsh to Bash migration.
I love zsh, and I've been using it for some time. I'm beginning much more complex scripting, and I've come to the point when I want portability. Zsh is easily available, but never the default, so I must seriously consider migrating to bash.
I will only use bash if bash-completion (or some other solution) can replace zsh's smart completion.
Additionally, learning bash scripting I will also use
I am also interested in simplifying as many scripts as possible so they will run on Dash and perhaps even just BusyBox.
Proper i/o separation and routine development ∞
- bookmarks, scrapbooks, inbox (media, etc), email, software reviewing (including old stuff), etc...
-
This should allow me to go through my massive backlog.
