  • DEAD – This isn’t in use, even as a music player, because I wrecked the audio jack.

Digital Voice Recorder 1

was chinabuye.com/4gb-digital-stereo-voice-recorder-dictaphone-mp3-player-1

A basic dictaphone and mp3 player.

It records with horrible static with both its in-built and provided microphone, but its mp3 playback is spectacular. Its utterly shit mp3 interface, slow song switching and no shuffle make it basically useless as a player.

I bought this lower-sized version because it mentioned having a lithium battery. It does not, which pisses me off to no end.

While this works, it is definitely not recommended. Buy something else, even if it costs more.

on ChinaBuye

This is a fantastic item.

I got one black and one gold. The black looks great. The gold is okay-looking.

Very solid. Almost metal. Good grip.

The cap stays on tightly.

The MicroSD card goes in the “nose” of the reader, and is easy to insert/remove.

It’s easy to pull out of a computer, even though it is fairly small.

Windows 10 >

Problem:

  • On Windows 10
  • While booted into Windows
  • A hard drive is contained in an in-computer dock. (internal SATA)
  • That hard drive is powered on.
  • That hard drive is not seen by Windows, and does not appear as a new hard drive letter.

Notes:

  • It is seen and works in Linux.
  • This hard drive was “cloned” with dd.

Solution: The “disk signature” needs to (briefly) be made unique.
