Surviving an assassination attempt but stranded on a hostile world, the eponymous anti-hero finds himself hunted for his bounty.

Decent, but I'd only recommend this for fans of the whole series. On it's own, it's not a particularly interesting movie.

In a barely-colonial North America, a semi-savage man survives some harsh shit in search for a dude that did some stuff that he doesn't like.

Slow and pretty. I'm certain this would appeal to some people, just not to me. It's cinematic, outdoorsy, survivalistic, travelling, manly and all that. But it's slow and nerve-wracking as fuck.

The Soviets and Cubans invade the United States, and a small band fight to survive.

It's important to understand this movie in the context of the Cold War. As such, this movie doesn't exactly stand the test of time in this respect. The 2012 remake had to blame North Korea because our times are different. Back then, this movie had a believable-enough plot line.

The underlying ideas are good, but the actual plot and movie itself do feel old. I like this movie a lot, but only for its concepts. I don't think it's re-watchable for a non-survivalist.
