An personal information collection website which rewards with a trickle of money.

I found surveys which were broken, offers which were suspect, items which wanted my credit card information or to install random software. Overall, the hype that others give this website makes me think less of humanity.

After this glance, I expect I’ll be getting a lot of junk mail. Sigh.

They went to The Dark Side a while ago.

8chan wanted to be the spiritual successor to 4chan, but that doesn’t work when they’re both owned by the same people.

A guy goes mad and has visions, except they’re real people.

Decent, with occasional awesomeness between cringeworthy moments of “let’s see if we can put this shit in a show”. Oh, and it’s no wonder, it’s from “The Wachowskis”. I’m just going to let this die.

For me, the concept of “selling out” most strongly applies to bands, though I would apply it to anything with a significant long-term audience.

In terms of music, it is when a band begins gritty and in later albums becomes smoother, more polished, more saleable,

I’ve always imagined little suppliers being strong-armed by corporate interest and the greed brought by success. People in suits dictating what they can and cannot do, “for their better interest” and who end up siphoning off of their success. This sort of thing.

Again for music, it is when a huge industry has bright eyed innocents pitch to bands, locking them into a contract, manipulating their art into a product packaged for an audience like so much cologne. Occasionally nice, but fashionable garbage.

You’ll see it in music, movies, games and probably other places.

Though I only know him through Last Week Tonight, I love his personality and material.

Last Week Tonight is a political commentary Television show which posts some videos on YouTube. Some of its research and news material is quite impressive, and its comedic presentation makes it particularly entertaining.

He went completely fucking insane some time ago, and became part of the fake news / social justice propaganda network.

A mobile phone text message-like website, which, for reasons unknown, gained in popularity.

A dangerous place filled with misunderstanding and hatred, fuelled by their arbitrarily-short message length.

They have succumbed to The Dark Side. Update: Elon Musk took over so it’s now a special kind of shitshow. It’s now called X.
