A poor village is robbed, and a young man sets out to retrieve the village’s most prized possession.
Quite good and holds up well. In context there were very few movies of this grit out at the time, and it really made waves.
Note that Ong Bak 2 – (2008 movie) is not a sequel. There is no sequel, and I’m not trying to be funny about this. It literally is not a sequel or related in any way.

It’s a solid violence-filled thriller more in the American style than Indonesian, so it’s good but not great.
