I'm not sure how to describe this movie. It's .. it doesn't have the sort of consistency that makes it stick in memory enough to try.

It both feels like it has a plot line and that it's all over the place. Overall it neither crafts a "feeling" nor has memorable characters. It was watchable enough to get through it all without really cringing, but it's definitely not re-watchable and I wouldn't recommend it even as bubblegum viewing. It's successor, Hitman - Agent 47 (2015)[doesn't exist], is way better.

Two agents become an unlikely pair to thwart the creation and deployment of a nuclear warhead.

I overall liked this. It has a classy feel something like the old James Bond films but with its own flavour. Younger fans of that genre will likely also like this movie.

A super-soldier program falls apart when its author goes rogue, but when its heirs move to re-capture him, not only does one of his creations turn against them but so does his greatest creation, his daughter.

What was, in so many respects, an original piece in an original world, it has various inappropriate quips and so obviously draws from other sources that it wears thin for a fan of them. Definitely recommended, but I'll leave it up to the viewer to decide on if they'd re-watch it. I reference several other sources which ought to be watched at some point, and I think their viewing would reveal just how thin this movie is. Good, but thin.

When attacked, an idiot stoner learns he has training he never knew he had.

An unintellectual fluffy bubblegum action movie. Easy on the brain and good for the common man. Not a spy movie as such. Recommended for beers and popcorn with friends. Still worth a watch for others who can just barely tolerate such brain-candy.

CIA agent Salt is accused by a walk-in Russian defector of being a Soviet spy.

This leverages actual Cold War issues into a reasonable plot and interesting action. Though I only vaguely liked it, because the general movie type isn't my thing, I would recommend this for fans of action movies. This is not a spy movie, as such.

James Bond, aka 007, runs and drives around, things happen, explosions and shootouts.

Meh, decent but not great unless you're a fan of the Bond universe. Not much of a "spy movie". Worth a one-time watch though, even though it's predictable as all fucking hell.

Barely Lethal (2014) poster

Kids are trained as secret agents and assassins, but one girl wants a normal life.

This is a cutesy teen movie. Complete bubblegum. Not to be mistaken for a spy movie. That notion would risk heavy offence from so much hollow girlishness.

Maybe if you liked braindead teen flicks you'd be into this. I don't, so I wasn't.
