I loved this game a lot, and wrote down a whole lot of different codes for various combinations of things. I went through the game just far enough to get all kinds of cool stuff, but didn’t go through to start fighting bosses and whatnot. I wrote all this down on pieces of paper, then gave away the entire lot of stuff.

If I had only kept the codes then I could just buy back another set of stuff, or use emulators or the like. Maybe when I get a Nintendo DS again I’ll be able to buy this game again (see atlus.com) and I’ll just play it over and over to get some good codes again.

An online MMO type thing. I was using Linux at the time, and so I suppose my options were limited.

2016-12-25 – Blizzard still hasn’t abandoned it yet.

It’s ugly to an extreme, and offensive to my eyes to even look at it. The controls are awkward and hard on my mouse hand.

  • Properly titled Diablo II

I really thought Guild Wars had it all when I learned of it. I went out and found all of the resources i could, and noted all the specs and rumours and whatnot. I ended up becoming a beta tester for it and everything.

Sadly, during gameplay I was very severely disappointed and walked away. I went back to try it a second time and what I considered to be very serious and obvious issues were not and apparently would not be addressed. This topic only remains for amusement’s sake, as a testament to my ability to waste huge amounts of time for nothing.

  • Note that I am bound by a beta tester’s NDA, so I cannot discuss the various things which went on during my time as a tester.
  • Followed by Guild Wars 2 – (2012 game)

Run around as a dude killing stuff, all the while building traps to massacre hordes of enemies.

Mad fun.

I dunno, it cost money so I didn’t buy it.

2022-07-30 – (not played)

This is my first use of Epic

  • The website sucks. It was hard to figure out how to get the launcher.
  • The launcher pops up ads; fuck off.
  • The launcher does not have “save the world” in it.
  • Wikipedia showed me https://www.epicgames.com/fortnite/en-US/save-the-world
  • The top-right is a download link, which is not obvious.
  • That download link gives me something that just tries to install the launcher.
  • Clicking “In Library” does not install the game. How do I install things?
  • I had to go to my library, search there, and install from there.
  • Trying to install it gave me a damned popup about connecting other accounts; fuck off.
  • I can’t control my download speed?
  • What does “Operations” mean?
  • Oh, settings lets me fiddle with things.

  • Applying “the best settings” keeps it full screen windowed; nice.
  • No audio in background, which was annoying for the intro.
  • What the fuck is this cutscene intro mess? It isn’t showing gameplay or lore.
  • Weird screen tearing sometimes at some text in the intro.

Oh, it requires purchase; well fuck it then.
