The default Windows explorer.exe is unbearable after using SpaceFM on Linux for so long. I can’t deal with multiple windows even with all the shit that’s cooked into Windows 8.1 to supposedly help.

I need a tabbed explorer, and not some oddball replacement file manager.

Provides a legacy status bar on which extensions’ status can be dragged.

Also provides optional and configurable functionality for:

  • Status Text, e.g. when your mouse is over a link, its text is displayed in the status bar.
  • A page loading Progress Meter.

    • I place this in the top location bar. It’s an unobtrusive bar overlayed at its bottom and does not displace the normal text.
  • Download Status. i.e. a download progress meter and text.
