TRY HARDER – absorb ancient notes into more modern notes, and separate them by dates.

TODO – Is this out in blu-ray?

Unfrozen after 300 years, the captain of the most powerful ship in existence moves to rebuild his fallen Commonwealth with the help of a rag-tag group of civilians.

This series is (was) high quality with a light (sometimes cheesy) mood. Although I can say I love this series, it definitely takes a nosedive later in its life, and absolutely fails miserably in its final “wrap-up” season. It’s like these writers sabotage their own work.

Upon re-watching this, I can say that I do enjoy it, but it’s definitely pulp/drama as opposed to being actually-awesome. There are some layers to it, but its general theme of being “fun” gets in the way too frequently to have those subtle moments elevate the rest of it.

A girl, engineered to be a killer, flees her keepers, but as a woman she pursues general vigilante justice by helping a crime-fighting genius.

This series hits the ground running, featuring not just a stupifyingly hot Jessica Alba, but a great world, plot and everything else.

However, like too many series’, Dark Angel suicide-bombs like it’s been lit on fire and is heading for a volcano to end it’s suffering. Not only is the second season bad enough to end the show, it’s bad enough to not watch, even and especially for people who like the first.

Stuck at a dead-end job, a guy ignores his girlfriend’s nagging until she uses an old high school enemy to push his buttons.

I’m really really happy this series didn’t get approval. This pilot is a steaming pile of shit. It has nothing to do with Clerks – (1994 movie) and so it cannot build on its mystique, and it isn’t even particularly original or interesting on its own.

  • This is the single pilot episode. The full series was never produced.
  • Kevin Smith, the author of Clerks – (1994 movie) was unaware of this proposed TV show until its casting was under way, during his production of Mallrats – (1995 movie)
  • Properly titled Clerks. (with a trailing period) or more sensibly Clerks: The TV Show

Having discovered an interplanetary teleporter, humans bumble around by sending teams through to other worlds.

Pretty good. It’s definitely got the “TV series” feel to it, which explains how many seasons there are.

  • See Stargate viewing order. This series follows from Stargate – (1994 movie)

    • Watching that movie is not mandatory to watch this series.
    • This series has different actors.
  • The stylized “A” in the title (with the middle bar missing and the circle over it) is a reference to that symbol representing the Earth when programming a stargate.

The last of a powerful race tours time and space, regularly ending up in trouble.

Playful fun. Occasionally attempts to glide past some significant issues with time travel but is generally bubblegum. Doesn’t take itself too seriously. Recommended until it goes woke.
