I do mid-range raid healing. Nothing mythic, and heroic is still a challenge.
With that in mind, I get complemented on my healing. My presence and tactics are regularly the difference between success and a wipe.
.. but people don’t understand what healing is, what the numbers mean, and what “good” means.
While I’m pleased to get complements, especially from other healers, I don’t think many people understand what’s going on.. even other healers. Their complement is somewhat meaningless, and for another healer to complement me worries me that they think less of themselves.
The Bloody Bandanna removes a dwarf’s beard.
Furthermore, it’s possible to simultaneously see the removed beard in the dressing room and the regular beard (with the bandanna) in the character’s view.
I mysteriously have improved raid frames on one of my characters.

This found heavy use until Blizzard made sufficient UI improvements to obsolete the need for frames addons.

An AddOn to make raid fights easier. Although Blizzard added similar functionality into many of their fights, I consider this absolutely mandatory.
For most people I’d say “just install it”. It does need some significant configuration for many fights, and for my minimalistic taste. I mean, who the fuck cares about an enrage timer bar?
Note that, to reduce the size/complexity of the addon, they maintain the current expansion’s content as one addon, and other expansions in other addons (listed on their page).

Bind keys or mouse clicks to spells and macros when mousing over a unit frame.
I use this for clicking on frames to heal that target.
The addon that I may have used the longest. Absolutely mandatory, especially for healers.

A bag AddOn, with ludicrously-complex functionality.
It’s display windows are built from ‘virtual bars’, where you assign categories to bars so that items in that category are displayed on the specific bars you want.
ArkInventory was slow as fuck to log in with or open my bags/bank with, though an update that introduced delayed start helped a lot. This was probably due to my heavy customization. I upgraded my computer.
