coming later
I had originally fallen in love with Ruby with the hopes of being able to use it on 16-bit DOS computers, but didn’t turn out to be possible. Since then I had stuck with it to tinker around quite a lot. But it turns out that a vast amount more programs are written in Python. Since my experiences with Ruby GUI toolkits were just horrifying, and all the Python GUI stuff I’ve seen is awesome, I think I’ll check things out.
I didn’t end up looking into Python much, but I have a bunch of notes.
An aborted project to note things which were destroyed for religious reasons.

I thought YouTube didn’t do RSS any more, but Brad left a comment with details. They are untested.

- Google Reader was abandoned.
This is an aborted project from when I was thinking of manually implementing a dissolve feature.

RSS was tested with YouTube subscriptions. While it can do it, it’s atrocious. It doesn’t get everything, and doesn’t get new items even a week later, and it keeps showing duplicates. It’s horrifically slow.
