https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1524134/ Orcs resurface into and threaten a national park. While definitely a B-movie, this is well-written and well-acted. It doesn’t really have comedy like most B-movies though, so it doesn’t “work” all that well. Still, I think it’s worth a watch. See also:
Entertainment > Movies > (on Wikipedia) Dying of cancer, a dishonourably-discharged special forces soldier submits to experimentation to save his life, which was actually to enslave him and resulted in mutant powers with a scarring side effect, forcing him to hunt down his creator for both revenge and the cure. An adequate movie on-par with the other adequate superhero movies. This has some significant laugh-out-loud moments, and with a lot of blood and cursing to make it an R-rated movie, it rides on the ho-hum samey-same superhero movie trend all the way to success. Features nothing new or interesting in the expanded universe. In fact, involves nothing from any other movie whatsoever. Recommended for those who are hipster for the “superhero genre” movie trend.

Entertainment > Movies > https://www.imdb.com/title/tt4525270/ The world goes to shit when weather control satellites are taken over by an artificial intelligence. Fair, but TV-quality. Strongly borrows from The Terminator – (1984 movie) franchise.
Entertainment > Movies > (on Wikipedia) A mockumentary about four vampire flatmates in New Zealand. Bad. This is supposed to be comedy. I’m not laughing. From what little I saw, I doubt it will get any better.
Entertainment > Movies > (on Wikipedia) Five young scientists invent a technology to teleport to some other world, but there are terrible consequences. An adequate movie. Recommended if you’re already into this class of movie. Apparently this superhero retardation is now an entire class of movie. God dammit this is some lazy bullshit.
Entertainment > Movies > (on Wikipedia) It’s the post-zombie apocalypse, and somehow in permanent-winter a nine year old is a whiny first world prissy little bitch. There is no plot. Even if, and especially if, you like zombie movies.. avoid. I liked it at first, but it soon drove me mad with confusion and annoyance. I had to stop before the half way mark.
Doctor Who > Doctor Who – (2005 show) > (on Wikipedia) A secret organization scavenges alien technology. Like Doctor Who, this series is pretty light. It seems good so far.
Entertainment > Movies > (on Wikipedia) The Soviets and Cubans invade the United States, and a small band fight to survive. It’s important to understand this movie in the context of the Cold War. As such, this movie doesn’t exactly stand the test of time in this respect. The 2012 remake had to blame North Korea because our times are different. Back then, this movie had a believable-enough plot line. The underlying ideas are good, but the actual plot and movie itself do feel old. I like this movie a lot, but only for its concepts. I don’t think it’s re-watchable for a non-survivalist.
