How To Kill A Zombie (2014) poster

Entertainment > Movies >

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt3694988/

An experiment intentionally infects a local town, and a survivalist and his son fight to escape the horde.

A playful zombie movie. One of the main characters is a terrible over-actor, but if you like this genre of movie, this one is pretty good.

A world broken by plague sends a team back in time to prevent the virus from spreading.

It’s better than a B-movie but definitely not A-quality. I would class this as a good TV-movie. Worth a watch if you’re into science fiction.

  • In the year 2204

Fire City - End of Days (2015) poster

Demons who feed on suffering suffer a terrible plague that threatens to starve them to death.

A unique world, great makeup/appliances and plot make this particularly interesting. I’ve heard this called noir-esque, and it really does have a style that’s similar to other movies I’ve seen. Recommended!

Thought dead, an astronaut is left behind on Mars and desperately tries to stay alive and communicate with home.

Not exactly in the caliber of so many other science fiction films, but it’s lighthearted and generally decent.

A failure of a delivery boy is frozen for a thousand years, where in the year 3,000 he’s an interstellar delivery boy who continues to fail a lot.

A hilarious and intelligent show, with many subtleties. Watch an episode or three, and if you’re interested then you’ll enjoy the rest. Highly recommended.

I watched a couple of seasons before my interest petered out. I want to do other things with my time.

The last of a powerful race tours time and space, regularly ending up in trouble.

Playful fun. Occasionally attempts to glide past some significant issues with time travel but is generally bubblegum. Doesn’t take itself too seriously. Recommended until it goes woke.

A new wave of tailor-made drugs sweeps over Detroit, whose even bigger problem is a corporate takeover of the city.

While interesting, it’s not ground-breaking like the first was.

Two orphans become witch hunters.

This is not horror. It’s kindof a light action film. Quite good.

The style is medieval-meets-western. I’ve seen other movies which do this, and I like it quite a lot.

Unnecessarily foul language. It’s jarring.

Great effects, camera work and general atmosphere.

A mortally-wounded cop is used as the foundation to build a police robot meant to be a tool for control but whose artificially-repressed memories and inerrant awesomeness surface to save the day.

This was a great movie in the day, and I’d bet I’m biased in saying it’s still great.

Based on the life of John Forbes Nash, Jr., the nobel prize winning mathematician, this film explores his life, genius and madness.

Media which explore intelligence, its quirks and consequences are (obviously) rarer than the geniuses themselves. That this movie has appealed to a broad audience, helping embrace and enlighten more typical people, is rarer still. This movie is very strongly recommended.
