Really interesting! I guess it’s worth watching, but it slide sideways and got too strange to follow. It really needed more seasons to figure it’s shit out, but the woke brigade MeToo-dogpiled Joss Whedon without evidence so he got shunned.

Survivors of a plague are blind, and the result is a world just unnecessarily shitty enough to set a show in.

I mean.. it’s weak. The world building and motivations require me to park my brain and then I just get really distracted watching stupidity.

Aliens wipe out most of humanity for some reason, then they choose to not wipe out the rest of humanity for some reason, then stragglers struggle to survive and such.

Really really awkward writing. There is so much that makes no sense whatsoever, even in the context of the show itself. It has snippets of potential but it’s overall torturous for anyone who tends to pay attention; not recommended.

Particularly notable for its subtle and overt corporate jamming, Max Headroom was unique and wildly popular in its day but, for reasons unknown to me and not yet researched, had its life cut short.

I think I give my high personal rating because of its strong influences on my perceptions of the world. Perhaps it would not hold up today, but I’ll note that on my eventual re-watch.

This was not released on Blu-Ray.
TODO – The movie Max Headroom: 20 Minutes into the Future, which led into The Max Headroom Show. Both are somewhat separate/different than this series.
Max Headroom: 20 Minutes into the Future was reworked into the pilot episode of this show.

This series hits the ground running, featuring not just a stupifyingly hot Jessica Alba, but a great world, plot and everything else.

However, like too many series’, Dark Angel suicide-bombs like it’s been lit on fire and is heading for a volcano to end it’s suffering. Not only is the second season bad enough to end the show, it’s bad enough to not watch, even and especially for people who like the first.
