The world is invaded and destroyed by a vastly superior force of aliens, and survivors barely hold on to resistance.
Great mood.

The world goes to shit because people want Facebook in their brains.
I really have no idea what’s going on with this; it hops around to different groups and story and timelines..
Abandoned – A second season was announced, but then there was dead air.

An alternate Earth is discovered somehow, and for unknown reasons the mission to explore it comes back to a ruined Earth.
The writing is just terrible; I don’t know what the fuck they were thinking with the plot or the world-building.

A highly-virulent weaponized virus breaks containment and wreaks havoc.
It starts strong then goes downhill into some odd religious stuff. Generally terrible later on. Worth watching if you’re into this genre.
Based on The Stand – (1978 book), by Stephen King

Pseudo-immortality is reached when alien technology allows humans to save their consciousnesses to reusable disks, and a criminal’s disk is brought online from deep storage, for him to investigate the crime against an ancient and powerful man.
Finally, a science fiction show with real depth and darkness. Highly recommended.
I forgot season 1 and so it basically goes to confusing shit in season 2 so I gave up.

The world, having gone to shit for some reason, has no guns for some reason, and, in a world nothing like Mad Max – (1979 movie), things happen for various reasons.
It’s a manly man man show, with fighting and stuff, though it does have some sort of fantasy fiction quietly woven in. It seemed fair, but I struggled to get through season one and just didn’t care after a couple of episodes of season two.
Loosely based on Journey to the West, attributed to Wu Cheng’en.

The surviving humans of a war against angels garrison themselves, and one of them is said to be their saviour.
Recommended. It’s got a lot of religion in it, but it’s generic.
I never did take notes for this. I probably should have. Maybe if I re-watch this series I will.
Cancelled

Survivors of a plague that wipes out most humans make a desperate bid to undo it all by sending a man back in time.
I suppose it’s inevitable that a television series based around time travel will get convoluted really quickly because they stretch things out. Still, this doesn’t feel very good to me.
