OptionHouse is an AddOn to manage AddOns.  It’s a pretty simple concept.

Works, but no longer shows what addons are loaded

  • It’s called OptionHouse on curse, and the escape menu shows “Option House” (with a space)

This found heavy use until Blizzard made sufficient UI improvements to obsolete the need for frames addons.

An AddOn to make raid fights easier. Although Blizzard added similar functionality into many of their fights, I consider this absolutely mandatory.

For most people I’d say “just install it”. It does need some significant configuration for many fights, and for my minimalistic taste. I mean, who the fuck cares about an enrage timer bar?

  • Note that, to reduce the size/complexity of the addon, they maintain the current expansion’s content as one addon, and other expansions in other addons (listed on their page).

A bag AddOn, with ludicrously-complex functionality.

It’s display windows are built from ‘virtual bars’, where you assign categories to bars so that items in that category are displayed on the specific bars you want.

It’s simple and works very well. No searching or automatic sorting, grouping etc.

A floating “crazy-taxi” style arrow that points you to your destination.

Really simple. I miss the glaring arrow overtop of my character which Cartographer did.

NOTES TO SELF

  • If I choose to clean anything else up, I can probably steal content from World of Warcraft recommended addons – 3.
  • Create little pages and refer each addon to that page, then push notes (with dates) into their proper notes list.

A large bundle of AddOns.

Had some great parts, but the overall project philosophies weren’t compatible with mine and I replaced their AddOns whenever possible. BUT I wouldn’t do that at the expense of a great addon so it stayed in my toolbox for a while.

Their updater is complete crap. Avoid.
