A woman in a wheelchair goes on vacation alongside various religious tourists.

I couldn’t get to the half-way point without succumbing to boredom. This movie has a kind of absence of flavour that drones on like one unwavering tone. I don’t know how the hell this movie got into my inbox, perhaps as a reality-questioning movie. Maybe it got into interesting things later, but I was unwilling to give it that chance.

It had no explosions or lasers.

It is discovered that a person and their voice can be paired with certain words to manifest effects in the real world.

Tiring. Slow, confusing, and after 12 minutes it gets into a bit of a plot. The world has not been particularly well-explained.. giving this too little substance to hold my attention.

An assassin tries to leave the life, and though she gets tracked down she survives and takes to a life of revenge.

Incredibly drawn out. I’ve seen it some time ago, but even attempting to re-watch this makes me cringe. This gets grouped into the category of “I’d be able to pay attention if the lead character was better looking.” .. and like those other films, that still wouldn’t be enough to make this a good movie.

This is a shit movie that only did well because it was unique at the time.

  • This is the whole of volume 1 and volume 2 put together.

    • I understand there is a DVD release, and it’ll be shown in theatres for some reason. I also found a fan edit.
  • Properly titled Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair
  • There will probably be a sequel.

I’ll take proper notes when I re-watch this.

A documentary following soldiers fighting the aliens left over from an invasion.

I rather liked this! People talk about this being low budget, but until it’s pointed out I doubt someone would really notice.

Stories of people who regard augmenting their bodies as a way of life, whether for artistic reasons or out of pure vanity.

A movie about people who feel so trapped in their body they desperately want to control it. A community that’s basically a hugbox that shackles them together for encouragement.

Hitler is pulled into his future, and being able to do nothing but be himself, he is taken to be a comedian.

I know this is meant as a comedy, but.. it’s just off. It’s worth a watch, but just the one. It touches on quite a lot of .. well touchy subjects. Perhaps this movie will greatly improve in time, while things aren’t so sensitive.

A mercenary group is sent to an island for training exercises, only to learn that it was being used to train military robots.

Although pretty stiff because of the lead character, this is a decent enough movie. Worth watching for science fiction fans, but not for military movie fans.

A plague hits New York and then the world, and New York operatives are activated to do stuff and things.

Not bad for a short-ish film. There are some characters who do stuff, and there is some plot-like activity. Recommended for fans of what I call the “ruined world” genre.
