The Stepford Wives - (1975 movie) poster

A couple moves to a quiet and friendly town, but the wife, with no job and her kids grown up, has enough free time to be unhappy.

Many movies build very slowly, and this one comes from a time when that was acceptable. So if you can handle have the patience to not fidget while you wait for “the big reveal” then you will definitely like this.

I guess this is a fair character story, but I can’t understand enough of what they’re saying to really be enthralled by the acting or drama.

Maybe it’s a Canadian product of its time, but I find it simple, wholesome, and good for very young and very smart kids.
