While taking liberties with what are essentially super-powers, it settles into something mellow and reasonable. It gets into a groove really quick.
I think a few episodes are enough to get a good idea of what to expect of this show.

In the far future, the scarcity of water prompts pirates to steal ice, but they are swept up into a rebellion.
Swashbuckling-and-blasters, this movie is cheezy without being funny. I think it has some cult following merely because there wasn’t much of interest back then, and this style of movie was popular for reasons outside of quality entertainment. This is like some sort of movie version of shitposting.
Absolutely not recommended, as it doesn’t tick any boxes outside of nostalgia.

Some people wake up with no memories, alone on board a ship. Blah blah mysteries and stuff.
It gets the basics right, but it ends up being shit in all the important places. The writing and tone of the show is terrible. I couldn’t get past two episodes before being disgusted. A show ought to hook me in the pilot, but this didn’t have one.. and it shows.
