Iron Man is a prick, dooming the world unless The Avengers can save it.

Another comic book movie. Meh. I’m sure it made money, but it makes no contributions to anything whatsoever. Recommended for pop comic book movie fans.

  • Properly titled Avengers: Age of Ultron

Facing hard times, The Ghostbusters are called back into action when the city’s mood dips deep into anger.

Definitely not as good as Ghostbusters – (1984 movie), but an adequate film nonetheless.

  • Properly titled Ghostbusters II.

Out of the Furnace (2013) poster

A maladjusted ex-soldier gets into fighting to repay his debts, and his now-ex-con working-class brother turns to vigilantism when the fighting goes bad.

Decent, but definitely not good enough to watch a second time. Not impactful in the least.

Space Adventure Cobra (1982) poster

Entertainment > Movies >

(on Wikipedia)
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0163494/

A space-pirate with a huge bounty on his head shags a hottie who turns out to be a crazy magic-woman who was whoring herself so he’ll help her.

This is probably good if you’re into anime. I’m not, so it’s exaggerated and boring to me. Maybe I’m disinterested because it builds on the universe of a whole manga and not much could fit into the length of this movie.

RoboCop 3 (1993) poster

The people of Detroit are being forcefully evicted and relocated to a corporate-owned city.

Unless you’re a serious fan, just give this a pass. It doesn’t really build on the franchise and it’s corny.

RoboCop 2 (1990) poster

A new wave of tailor-made drugs sweeps over Detroit, whose even bigger problem is a corporate takeover of the city.

While interesting, it’s not ground-breaking like the first was.

They band together to save the planet from Galactus, a world-consuming alien.

Mediocre.

RoboCop (1987) poster

Entertainment > Movies >

(on Wikipedia)
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0093870/

A mortally-wounded cop is used as the foundation to build a police robot meant to be a tool for control but whose artificially-repressed memories and inerrant awesomeness surface to save the day.

This was a great movie in the day, and I’d bet I’m biased in saying it’s still great.

Fight Club (1999) poster

Entertainment > Movies >

A corporate drone goes mad and spirals into psychopathy, violently lashing out at society.

An absolutely mandatory film. As heavy-handed as its anti-corporatism is, it has fantastic subtleties requiring multiple viewings. There are very few movies which can achieve this level of watchability. This is absolutely an A-class dudebro movie.

Navy Seals vs. Zombies (2015) poster

Entertainment > Movies >

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt4511566/

Baton Rouge, Louisiana is ground zero for a zombification-virus.

While not great, it could have done a whole lot worse. Navy Seals vs. Zombies is probably worth a watch for zombie and military fans, if there’s nothing better around.

I didn’t get through it. It had nothing interesting to offer me.
