The Programmers Solid 3D CAD Modeller

In general, this is a wonderful program. A great editor, and it’s quite easy to use.

Unfortunately, it really is for programmers. While I can muddle through everything, I’m not a programmer so it’s extremely time consuming for me to make anything.

A Free and open source 3d creation suite and video editor.

3d editing: Said to be very difficult to use, and it is. There is an argument that in mastering it one gains a huge set of capabilities with one tool. I was unable to get that far.

Video editing: Defaults are stupid and features are missing. Maybe it’ll be passable in a few years.

  • It has a portable zip, with no install required. Yay!

A cryptographic filesystem.

A fantastic concept and program which I used heavily for a long time across multiple Linux distributions.

  • Be aware that attacks on people, hardware and implementation are the go-to methods for defeating encryption. Some points:

    • A legal or physical threat, lies and other social engineering.
    • A hardware or software keylogger. Are you typing your password on a keyboard and computer you control?
  • eCryptfs-mount.sh is my helper script.

A top-down hack-and-slash game based on the Gauntlet franchise but with different controls, abilities and general gameplay.

This seemed like a good idea at the time, but turned out to be a pretty shitty experience. Not recommended.

I’ve played this exact same thing as a free flash game. Except the controls were a hell of a lot better with that one.

Well. I had heard good things about this game, and since it was on sale I thought I’d pick it up.

I regret it.

All the Earth is in peril, but everyday people have been given super powers.. except half of them become villains, for some reason.

The interface and controls weren’t pleasant for me. Probably the biggest nuisance was not having set a colour scheme on my chest because I made myself bare-chested.

Cubic Player, now Open Cubic Player, was my audio player of choice back in my DOS days. Officially abandoned under DOS, but renamed to “open cubic player” and further-developed to become multi-platform (Linux).

Rather old, but still awesome.

A filesystem I use because of checksumming and de-duplication.

Very good, although I’ve had a sketchy history with it. I’ve used multiple versions of it, sometimes mounting the same partition with different versions of it.

I stopped using it because I lost trust in its reliability.
