A mysterious message is detected by an astronaut, who learns its senders are on their way to Earth.
Fair, and moody, but it feels like there should be more content.

A astronaut has an accident in space and comes back crazy.
It’s like a sort of brooding bubblegum show; light on the science, heavy on the fiction, and with some horror mixed in.

Something about a woman having played a video game and being in that world and being overpowered.

Our dude uses every resource for revenge against the Harkonnen who murdered his family and people.
It would be watchable, even good, if it didn’t have odd gaps in it. It’s as though there is another movie whose cloth this was cut. I’m betting there is a super duper extended length version, because I feel there are missing scenes.

An ugly, unaccomplished, student discovers a hidden world within which he becomes a hero and transforms himself in that and the real world.
It might be quite good, but because the main character is superpowered it’s a pretty shitty story angle; not recommended.

An undergrad invents a brain-meddling machine, and discovers that meddling with his brain is a bad idea.
Calm, and focused wholly on the main character. I liked it.
