A PDF reader. I believe this was a free edition, but I’m not sure if it was restricted in any way. I’m pretty sure this was never open source.
I couldn’t get it working, but didn’t try very hard.
Abandoned? I can’t see anything directly Linux-related any longer.

This is old stuff, but I wanted to check it out nonetheless.
Adding a relative path flag to ln.
Doesn’t seem to work.
2017-01-19 update – This was adopted into the FreeBSD core as of 2016-11-23. Yay!

Maintains a database for easy filename finding. Part of findutils.
I don’t like this idea at all; it presents one single point of attack to get the knowledge of the filesystem(s). This is also installed by default on so many systems, so I uninstall it and delete its database because that gets left after uninstallation!

One of the more popular window managers.
I tried it a long time ago. Tested very briefly. Strongly dislike because of speed issues. Didn’t test for long enough to learn about the style of applications etc. I’ve developed a bias against Gnome in preference for KDE for reasons I can’t articulate. Gnome is kinda pretty, but KDE keeps my attention.
Gnome 2 was forked and continued by a new team as MATE.

Automount utilities including an updated version of Amd Am-utils includes an updated version of Amd, the popular BSD automounter. An automounter is a program which maintains a cache of mounted filesystems. Filesystems are mounted when they are first referenced by the user and unmounted after a certain period of inactivity. Amd supports a variety of filesystems, including NFS, UFS, CD-ROMS and local drives.
You should install am-utils if you need a program for automatically mounting and unmounting filesystems.
Incomprehensible documentation.

Meh, not bad but not great.
Medeocre “plot”. It’s more of a generic dystopian movie and only good for the atmosphere.
