The Matrix Resurrections - (2021 movie) poster

Neo and Trinity are alive because of science fiction magic, and their minds are blue-pilled again because they create lots of energy for the quota of an AI guy.

The writing is bad, the filmmaking is bad, the in-movie lore is awkward and poorly explained, it has callbacks to earlier movies which strip it of uniqueness, the characters are bad, and the acting is mediocre (sometimes because the characters are bad).

This is not a good movie, either as a standalone movie or a Matrix movie.

A military man is enlisted into a mission to save Chicago United States from a terror attack.

A fantastic, emotional, movie. This has all the elements of quality which make a movie truly great.

There really isn’t any actual “substance” to this film, in the sense that there are few references to people, places, or things. It’s all one contained package that is surprisingly easy to lose time with. I think the drama (and romance) is the real draw for me.

A girl goes insane or maybe it’s aliens; who knows.

It had a lot of hope, but the writer changed anti-psychotic prescriptions mid-way and the movie went stupid.

An asshole anchorman is sent to a little town to do a fluff story on Groundhog Day, but karma bites him in the ass when the town gets snowed-in.

A fantastic movie not just for the usual things, but for the execution of its idea. Unlike so many movies that have its elements, this one stays grounded and accessible. This movie is well-loved and highly recommended.

From a future destroyed by plague, a prisoner “volunteers” to be sent back in time to fetch pre-infection samples.

A great movie that stands apart both from its contemporaries and even from movies of today. It touches upon a lot of topics I find interesting in movies.
