Lost in space, a member of a misfit band of space-mercenaries is found by his father.

Another boring semi-superhero movie. I expect this will be mildly entertaining for people who really liked the earlier one.

In an odd way, see also:

Two interns and a lovesick magazine reporter follow up on a crazy old classified ad requesting a partner for time travel.

It’s not exactly a time-travel movie, science fiction, a comedy or a romance or a romantic comedy, but it does have a light dusting of everything. It’s “okay”.

A broken man, having done the hokey pokey as an assassin, is forced back in. Again.

Adequate. It borrows from feelings and elements of other movies, and does a mediocre job of entertaining.

  • Properly titled John Wick: Chapter 2

Thrust back into a life he thought he exited, a contract killer vows revenge for the brutal slaying of.. his dog.

An adequate movie.

An investigative reporter, most recently working on criminal drug stories, gets a lead that takes him down a rabbit hole few knew existed.

A fair movie at best, which I can only recommend for people of the mindset with interest in the United States’ government’s involvement in Bad Things.

A writer visiting contemporary Paris is repeatedly transported to 1920s Paris.

This has been described as a romantic comedy, but there is neither romance nor comedy to be found. It’s dry and drags its feet.

A special agent combat-cyborg pursues a cyber criminal who comes to have a special interest in her.

Although I like it, I suspect it’s because I like the original so much and I can’t be unbiased. I also think Scarlett is hot.

I became even more interested in seeing this movie in light of the incorrectly-supposed-whitewashing of the lead character. Antisocial injustice is actually pretty good at recommending things.

Aliens arrive, but nobody knows the first thing about talking to them.

This is another movie whose description would spoil it. With a rather mellow and thoughtful tone throughout, it pulls the viewer in. I think it will hold up well over time, too.

A ship malfunctions, and a passenger on a deep-space voyage to a new colony is woken from hibernation early.

Good and not good at the same time. It works out quite well, and has a good overall tone to it, but the story itself is sad.
