Humanity has been infected by nanobots controlled by an AI that ends violence, which, although about as horrifying as it sounds, many people want it and some even work for it.

Slow and halting, but with a good premise. It leans heavily into acting, which isn't at the level needed to make this shine. Still, it's not a turd.

This would have made for an excellent pilot episode.

A hacker learns reality is not as it appears.

A sci-fi ripoff of elements of Lucid dreaming, with elements taken from the Neuromancer/Shadowrun "cyberpunk" genres.

A pioneering movie for special effects, which have held up quite well, and its general pot and atmosphere. Technically not original for science fiction fans, but great nonetheless.

One of my favourites, although I really wish the actor playing Trinity (Carrie-Anne Moss) was good looking.

A series of non-cannon short animated films inspired by The Matrix - (1999 movie).

Better than the main series in some cases. I rather love every one of these short films.

College students LARPing as revolutionaries set a hacker up, but he causes a shitstorm in an agent training prison.

This is pretty good. It's essentially a Dutch revisitation of the concepts in the French movie La Femme Nikita - (1990 movie). It's straightforward and so it seems fairly low budget.

In a world where lifespan replaces currency, one man is given more than his due, upsetting the balance of powers.

Good story, pacing, and acting.

A mix of odd stories and fantasies that ultimately makes little sense.

Fucking weird and pointless.
