In a world where superpowered people are relegated to second class citizenry, one man struggles to make money for his dying mother.
From acting through to story, this is really good all around.
Inspired by Code 8 (2016 film)

Time crystals allow a bumbling white male to go back in time, and he uses it to gamble, date a gold digger, and seek revenge on big pharma.
Painfully mid.

The axis powers won World War II.
It’s kind of okay, but it drags its feet then goes woke.
Science fiction starts far later, making this a drama.

Humanity has been infected by nanobots controlled by an AI that ends violence, which, although about as horrifying as it sounds, many people want it and some even work for it.
Slow and halting, but with a good premise. It leans heavily into acting, which isn’t at the level needed to make this shine. Still, it’s not a turd.
This would have made for an excellent pilot episode.

A key survivor of a world destroyed by a plague is forced to save it. I think.
It’s generally slow and boring; luke warm at best, but recommended if you’re into this sort of thing.

A retired couple has a secret chamber buried in their backyard that leads to a deserted planet. When an enigmatic young man arrives, their quiet existence is upended and the mysterious Chamber they thought they knew so well turns out to be much more than they could have ever imagined.
I can’t say I like this because it doesn’t do enough world building and doesn’t really develop an arc with the time they have.
They really, really, lean into age in this show.

The remnants of humanity work to survive in a ruined world.
Gritty and good. It’s got a lot of bullshit in it though, so you really have to turn your brain off.
I had someone point out this was supposed to have comedy, but it’s so thin I had no idea.

In a future where cybernetics are commonplace, a kid gets involved in the underworld to get by.
