To “port” is to bring things over from elsewhere. They will become either new pages or major updates. Small pages and minor updates are not noted.

Spoiler
  • Ported articles are given a timestamp of 00:00.

  • The dates from the oldest articles (2005 or so) are likely wrong, as they were ported from a still-older content management system.

    • Just as this “five things” process exists, I had an earlier series of notes tracking a still-earlier porting process. In due time, I’ll go through that list and correct dates as best I can.

A crazy old man appears in a war-torn city to correct the misconceptions of the retelling of his adventures.

It’s a great fluff fantasy movie. I didn’t see it back in the day, so it has no nostalgia for me. Left with what it is at face value, I can’t recommend it except for people who like the old 80s style of kids’ practical effects fantasy movies. Think The Dark Crystal – (1982 movie) or The Neverending Story – (1984 movie).

A psychiatric ward commits people who are deluded into thinking they are super-humans.

  • Not actually based on any comic book.

A man struggles with a split personality disorder, turning to an unlikely group of young women for counseling. Haha, just kidding it’s a kidnapping-horror movie.

Amazing acting, good writing, good all around. It’s contained, straightforward and engaging. It was assembled well enough that I didn’t take many notes.

I was using embedded songs from mp3clan.com (mp3clan.com/embed/) but that feature appears to have been removed. I suppose I shouldn’t have relied upon it. I’m not going back and editing all the references.

A lot of Martial arts-related bits were ported over, but there’s a lot more to do because that was probably my largest project ever.
