(on Wikipedia) A misfit member of an organization of time travelers flubs a trip and yanks a kid from 1982 back in time. It’s an odd combination of brains and bubblegum; well-acted, fast-and-loose and interesting. See also:
(on Wikipedia) Far north miners work against the clock to create a permanent spent nuclear fuel dump. Very good tone!
(on Wikipedia) A team investigates the origins of debris that has rained down over parts of the United States and Canada. Amateur but pretty good.
Entertainment > Movies > (on Wikipedia) A military man is enlisted into a mission to save Chicago United States from a terror attack. A fantastic, emotional, movie. This has all the elements of quality which make a movie truly great. There really isn’t any actual “substance” to this film, in the sense that there are few references to people, places, or things. It’s all one contained package that is surprisingly easy to lose time with. I think the drama (and romance) is the real draw for me.
Entertainment > Movies > (on Wikipedia) A lovely couple move to a lovely town, have trouble with a couple of yuppies, and strike a deal to get rid of them. A fast-paced, great movie. Not horror, and not comedy, just quality bubblegum. It’s worth a watch once, but in my mind it’s not good enough to be a “classic”.
