It should be summarized as: A noble kingdom is taken by force, forcing a prince to flee and live a life that turns to adventure, to later return to contest for the throne.

However. However it's all over the place. It doesn't properly delve into any aspect, and doesn't properly string things together. It has all the elements of a good, or at least fair, movie, but it wasn't written well.

A science guy has a thing for eyes.

Has one long mellow semi-suspenseful tone, but doesn't take full advantage of its opportunities. It grows weaker and weaker as it drones on, and barely pretends to have a reasonable resolution.

Beautiful Prison - (2016 movie) image

This is the sort of movie that I can't explain without spoiling it.

It ought to be started at 17:10 with zero introduction.

The fact that I can write that with confidence should speak loudly as to its quality. It doesn't have enough "content", and so it feels drawn out. If you are passionate about reality-questioning movies, then for sure see this. Otherwise, pass.

Crumb - (1994 movie) image

A documentary about Robert Crumb.

A lineage of broken genetics is passed on to children, one of whom drew odd things oddly and got famous because normies couldn't or wouldn't do it. He got and stayed famous because he got there first. Everyone fawns over him to be cool.

There's a lot of anti-consumerism, anti-industry and general cultural critique. Unfortunately, the whole thing gets interesting only in the latter third, and the good cultural critique is scattered throughout that.

All things considered, this isn't a great movie, an interesting person or an interesting topic. For people unaware of the reality, this shows the broken side of certain kinds of artist.

Not recommended.

Trailer

People kill themselves because they're stupid, because hand-waving science and shit.

Firstly, this is not a romance. Lastly, it's shit. Terrible writing for a terrible world with terrible characters.

Something something narration and murder-mystery.

Great acting, but not a very good story or presentation.. I just didn't like it. I only saw this for Michelle Monaghan, and it was worth it.

Be a gang member, run around in a sandbox world and shoot stuff, I guess.

It's alright.

  • Note that the original Saints Row - (2006 game) was only released for the Xbox 360.

The Art of War cover

(on Wikipedia)

A military treatise summing up the military experiences prior to and during the mid-Warring States period (475 BC - 221 BC).

Two editions of translations were released, and this publication includes everything:

  1. The 15 chapters of part 1 released in 1985
  2. The additional chapter released in 1985
  3. The 15 chapters from 1975's Part II, which were excised for that 1985 edition.

If this is what I think it is, then I first read this as The Second Art of War and found it a much better read than its predecessor. I was never able to find a book with that title.

  • aka Sun Bin: The Art of War
  • This is a two-book hardcover which also has the original/earlier The Art of War - (~476 BC book), by Sunzi
  • Published 2000-01-01
  • ISBN-10 7119024124
  • ISBN-13 978-7119024127
  • Note: I've read the author died in 310 BC, and I haven't seen a more accurate date for this book.

    • p.21 - Sunzi and Sun Bin lived more than 160 years apart.
  • Sun Bin (孫臏 · 孙膑)

    • Historians came to call him "Qi Sunzi" (Master Sun of Qi).

A military treatise from Ancient China's late Spring and Autumn Period (770-476 B.C.).

Like The Prince - (1910 book), by Niccolò Machiavelli, people have interpreted this text for all manner of uses such as the business world.

This is a dual language (Chinese-English) hardcover edition which was translated in China itself, as opposed to being one of the various foreign-made translations.
