Used for preparing a LiveUSB for Linux distributions‘ .ISO files. Instead of using a CD or DVD, use a USB stick.

Use UNetbootin instead. Although doing the same thing (un7zipping), unetbootin works MUCH faster.

Universal-USB-Installer-1.9.6.0.exe – May 14, 2015

  • 2015-05-14 – DO NOT USE . Whatever process this uses takes motherfucking forever to prepare a USB stick. un7zipping a moderate-sized distribution’s ISO is a good 20 minutes and may end up freezing 7zip.
  • 2014-04-24 on Windows 8.1, with Lubuntu 14.04 amd64.

    • Does not seem to make a bootable USB stick.
