A head is found in the garbage and is stitched back onto a body like science fiction necromancy.
A twelve-year-old-girl-friendly science fiction movie. It had such potential, but it absolutely ruined it by having no resolution.

The Earth is ruined when aliens invade, and a maintenance skeleton crew monitors killer drones to protect resource-gathering efforts for survivors.
A fantastic movie from every angle. A very strong mood throughout. Highly recommended.

You are part of an elite squad who freeze time to move near cover and get shot in the head.
I guess they didn’t play their own game, because there are obvious flaws. This would have been more fun if they got rid of the whole moving around like an RPG. Like the old X-COM ga– oh wait, the old games are just better. Why was this game made?
Properly titled The Bureau: XCOM Declassified

The Koreans invade the United States, and you are a freedom fighter who hides behind invulnerable cover in an on-rails playable cutscene.
alt-F4 as soon as I was placed in a “home base” which forced me to RP-walk everywhere. Inexcusable.

In a dystopic future akin to Brave New World – (1932 book), by Aldous Huxley, everyone is lost in a virtual reality, playing a game to take control of the world’s largest corporation.
This movie is parasitic to the childhoods of old men and permanent-children. It’s worth a watch if you’re over 40, otherwise it’ll be a fairly confusing mess of references.
Inspired by Ready Player One – (2011 book), by Ernest Cline

Artificial intelligence is created, but they forgot to send a philosopher, so things go to shit somehow there are survivors.
It borrows from various other things, but doesn’t execute anything very well. It just comes off as being badly written. I should have guessed based on the production company’s amateur-night page.

Pseudo-immortality is reached when alien technology allows humans to save their consciousnesses to reusable disks, and a criminal’s disk is brought online from deep storage, for him to investigate the crime against an ancient and powerful man.
Finally, a science fiction show with real depth and darkness. Highly recommended.
I forgot season 1 and so it basically goes to confusing shit in season 2 so I gave up.
