Updates ∞

• A handful World of Warcraft addons were updated with alternatives.

  • ArkInventory is the only particularly notable item. I can’t find a comparable alternative. =(

• Porteus was updated with my latest round of testing.

  • It fails, hard. A shame, really.
  • So I’m left with hoping that Slax will come to life again, and I can manually keep up with Slackware security updates and kernel updates.

• Making a USB stick bootable has been updated some more.

  • This is still an unsolved problem, but I’m headed in the right direction.

• Making a USB stick bootable

  • Unsolved, presently has a basic workaround for the problem I had, which was booting a linux distribution now inaccessible because it’s on a secondary hard drive that wasn’t booting properly. There’s more to do.

• Greasemonkey script for URL rewriting was made earlier.

  • My goal was to Wikipedia with Infogalactic. It’s not solved the way I want, but it’ll do for now.

• Audacity was poked at.

  • Though Wikipedia links were trivially migrated a few days ago, many pages still reference Wikipedia. I prefer to find that hilarious rather than edit a thousand pages. Maybe I should just directly edit the database but I don’t care right now.

• Software > Web browsers > Brave

  • I wanted it to be good, but it’s just Chrome.
