It's basically a long episode. As such, it would be impossible to appreciate without having watched much of the series.

I don't know how well this movie holds up, but it was a foundational movie from my youth. I think it is a fine example of the spirit of 80s youth movies.

Although this one has held up well, it does show its age. It's still spectacularly well-made, and especially well-written.
