It should be summarized as: A noble kingdom is taken by force, forcing a prince to flee and live a life that turns to adventure, to later return to contest for the throne.

However. However it’s all over the place. It doesn’t properly delve into any aspect, and doesn’t properly string things together. It has all the elements of a good, or at least fair, movie, but it wasn’t written well.

A pretty princess turned-warrior leaves paradise to hunt the god of war during World War I.

It’s got a slow pace, good mood and is not your usual superhero flick. The pretty girl really makes this movie, even making up for the ugly male lead.

A British wizard travels to New York City, but his case full of endangered magical creatures causes trouble in a city that already has its own creature problem.

Weak characters, a shit plot with lots of filler and generally unlikeable. Especially bad in light of the earlier movies set in this universe. God that main character is fucking terrible to watch.

I will forever misremember this title as Fantastic Breasts and Where to Find Them. No fantastic breasts were found in this movie.

Avoid, especially if you like the Harry Potter series!

It is discovered that a person and their voice can be paired with certain words to manifest effects in the real world.

Tiring. Slow, confusing, and after 12 minutes it gets into a bit of a plot. The world has not been particularly well-explained.. giving this too little substance to hold my attention.

A girl learns she has magic powers and stuff when a bad guy and his henchmen who all like demons hunt her down for a thing she has.

A superhero-girl-witch movie. Adorable and stuff. Recommended for girls who are fans of this adorable trope genre.

A distracted surgeon crashes his car and is left with ruined hands, but he’s brought into a magic order who defend the planet and universe and stuff.

A decent movie, although fluffy and of narrow scope.

Rescued from an unknown realm, a demon, raised as a monster-hunting government agent, faces his destiny and the destruction of the world.

A rather good movie, because it features a relatable and mortal character. The time of its release was not saturated with this genre, so it was gave a strong impression. Even re-watching it was entertaining. I think this will hold up very well over time.

A man attains mystical powers originally for selfish reasons, but they taint with a life fraught with danger and demons.

Not a bad show, but the lead character’s personality isn’t attracting, and there’s the old celestial stick-up-the-ass personality in another. The lead female is hot. Hotty hot hot.

This was cancelled after one season. Back in the 90s this show would have done well, but I’m guessing this genre has alternately been well-poisoned or saturated. This show has too much it has to be better than to catch enough attention to survive. I think that it’s magic-fantasy was competing with an extraordinarily-strong superhero-fantasy genre.
