A remote controlling program which also brings your phone’s functionality to your desktop, including launching it’s applications.

It uses a screencasting method, just sending video. It’s low quality; just use Samsung DeX.

Final Fantasy 14 image

Yet another MMO, but Japanese and built on a huge franchise and the smouldering remains of an abysmal failure.

I don’t understand how this is popular. It has boring repetitive abilities, a confusing layout and a terrible map system.

  • Properly named Final Fantasy XIV
  • Technically I’m looking at Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn
  • aka ファイナルファンタジーXIV: 新生エオルゼア
  • aka Fainaru Fantajī Fōtīn: Shinsei Eoruzea

    • Apparently that’s not a joke.
  • aka FF14, FFXIV

A fair tower defence game that really does come across as a mobile game ported to desktop. I got it free from Epic, which is the only thing making me not completely trash this thing.

Fair, with flaws.

  • Supports ultrawide in so far as it paints a design outside of its normal widescreen aspect ratio.

Aliens drop by Earth and evil Humans shoot them down and mug them.

Nothing about the interface makes enough sense, and there are no hints as to how things work. It could have been made much better, even back in the day. I’m not going to forgive how bad it is, especially since there was zero effort by Steam to actually fix basic things like aspect ratio.

OpenCore Legacy Patcher logo

Apple stops providing support and a download for old hardware. However, it is possible to force an install. The project that is responsible for this magic has achieved something truly spectacular, making it trivially easy using this GUI software.

WARNING: This is an extremely stupid and dangerous process to attempt without reading, understanding, and preparing the whole process up front. See #.spiralofhope.com/83891/opencore-legacy-patcher.html#plan. It really is very easy and works 100% for “only fairly ancient” hardware, but “very ancient” hardware might not be fully supported (yet?).
