An comet’s path crosses the earth’s, and a shuttle crew is to rendezvous with it to plant nukes to divert its course.
With a decent story and good characters, the science proves, unfortunately, fundamentally flawed. It’s still a good watch and doesn’t show its age.

An evil scientist constructs a robot surrogate and transfers his consciousness into it to carry out his plans for global domination by kidnapping a very wealthy sheikh’s son.
A watchable moderate-budget movie which somehow still falls into an 80s-cheese style. It’s rare to find such a bold movie, even with it being unashamedly graphic to the point of dark comedy. I think that’s why I like it.
It’s worth watching once.

A rather obvious topic that I didn’t find good resources for when I was first interested in my shakuhachi. It got shelved for a long time because of that.
This topic isn’t about the other necessary things:
- Finger placement and general handling.
- Posture
- Breathing
- Embouchure – The shape of the mouth when blowing.

If you can’t put the flute to your mouth and make a decent note quite quickly, you probably aren’t ready for anything more than Mary Had a Little Lamb and maybe not even that, yet. This is fine; accept your limitations so you have some place to set goals from.

Upon hearing of his master’s death, a man returns to Shanghai amidst tensions from its Japanese occupation, and learns there was foul play.
Quite a good movie, with all the basic elements. There’s next to none of the B-movie cheese that’s pervasive of such films, so it’s good enough for everyday people.
