Aliens drop by Earth and evil Humans shoot them down and mug them.

Nothing about the interface makes enough sense, and there are no hints as to how things work. It could have been made much better, even back in the day. I’m not going to forgive how bad it is, especially since there was zero effort by Steam to actually fix basic things like aspect ratio.

In a world without dads, children have no dads and act like they have no dads, causing everyone to be dismayed and blame guns.

This is an extremely feminine movie from many angles. It misses a few excellent opportunities to explore masculinity, such as the coping mechanisms the males with speaking roles vaguely display. Overall this appeals to everyone or you’re sexist.

For the first time, a child is adopted by a corporation, who uses him to create the reality TV show of reality TV shows.

A fantastic movie that resolves like a hot shower after a good day’s work building a deck; refreshing and wholesome.

A bad dad and some shitty kids run away when aliens come down and up and stomp around.

While it’s a great ride, it’s ultimately unsatisfying and can’t be recommended.

A NEET dies but finds himself reincarnated in a fantasy world, where he grows into with the competence and usefulness that he ought to have been working for in his previous life.

Starts strongly, but really spirals down into pulp crap. Still perfectly watchable overall. Recommended even for people who don’t like this sort of entertainment but like the sword-and-sorcery topic in general.

Watched at the end of 2022; no notes were taken.

A veteran mercenary is double-crossed and finds himself blacklisted into becoming a general in hell’s army.

This is a very high low-budget movie. It’s over-the-top, corny but only almost-fun. Some of the effects are amazing, but some are so damned bad I can’t imagine how they thought this could be anything more than a middling success. From a writing perspective, it’s not bad moment-to-moment, but the overall plot is a bit stupid.

This has nothing going for it but the incredible acting of a clown.

Our main characters didn’t use a condom and stayed together.

I think it’s shaky and unrealistic, but it’s a nice walk-and-talk with great acting.
