Much Ado About Nothing - (1623 play), by Shakespeare - Signet Classic image

An man works to undermine his brother’s happiness by meddling with his son’s marriage. Also two smart people dual with words.

A pretty good book, though my reading of the Signet Classic was seriously interrupted by footnotes. Not because of the shifting up/down to read them, but because the footnotes are crammed all together. Given that this book is 1/4 commentary, axing one for clearer footnotes would have been amazing. Maybe another edition will be better. I intend to collect many of this particular play.

A cross-platform open-source animation program.

I didn’t want to deal with Blender, so I checked this out for simple animations. So far, so good. Even at a glance it could have been done far better, but maybe I can make do.

As part of a delaying tactic for an internal power struggle at the Central Intelligence Agency, an everyman is pointed out as a pawn to be followed as a delaying tactic.

A fantastic, classic, movie. It’s simple and with a light tone. I don’t think it’s particularly recommendable now, but I still like it.

A team investigates the killing of genetics researchers by their secret laboratory’s artificial intelligence, learning it had a good reason to do so.

Quite good, even after its era. It does not show much age except for one monster. This movie headed the resurrection of the zombie movie sub-genre.

TODO – To watch with commentary and all the bonus material.

Ancient Relic - (2002 movie) image

Archaeologists discover an ancient body with impossible technologies, giving evidence of a time-traveling journalist.

Quite a good movie! With a three hour run time, it was an easy binge and one that strings together seamlessly. A great story, and while it has some storytelling moments, it has unforgiving realism for its characters.

It has only a couple of awkward “like it’s totes real, yo” moments because of some characters, but thankfully it’s well-balanced and is overall absent of religion aside from the major plot point.

College kids go on vacation out into the woods, and everything goes horribly wrong when misunderstandings spiral out of reason.

A great movie with a great tone. Really fun to watch, but, as with most of its peers, it’s great for just the one watch.

A cop from an authoritarian future is caught up in a daring time-travel jail-break, to become stranded in present-day Vancouver Canada.

Overall this is adequate, but with several plot points and character traits which are difficult to believe. The biggest problem I have is the various brushes against citizen-terrorism apologetics. My takeaway is that this show is “safe”, with some edginess fabricated for the kids.
