A pig farmer gets stoned and hallucinates.

Gritty, scary, and gripping; a product of its time. Recommended both for real parenting and people who appreciate decent cinema. It's nowhere near the calibre of something like The Secret of NIMH - (1982 movie) or the like, but think gently in that direction.

A satellite brings back a deadly pathogen which scientists desperately try to figure out a cure for.

It's got that oldie feeling, but with enough of a timeless element to make it really riveting.

After a convicted murderer's execution, and when copycat killers become suicides, the original detective is dragged into what becomes a vastly more complex case.

Although I wouldn't recommend this broadly, it was so impactful that I could only sketch out a vague description from memory and had to wait for the inception of artificial intelligence to help me track it down.

A stitched-together movie of faux-epic military drama, stock footage, and B-roll.

This must have taken a hell of a lot of effort to put together, but my god it's so badly written.

The found footage of the travel to, and exploration of, one of the moons of Jupiter in the search for extraterrestrial life.

It's slow and focused, with a consistent and weighty tone. If you like it within the first fifteen minutes, you'll like the rest of it.

An everyday man's is kidnapped to make amends for past wrongs he couldn't guess at.

I can see it was trying, but boy is it inconsistent action without real underlying substance.

Alien refugees come to Earth, only to become squatters and criminals while the world looks on. After 20 years, the local government tries to relocate them to better facilities only to discover alien technologies they had been salvaging and repairing.

A unique setting and good story. It's not a super-fantastic movie, but it's definitely highly recommended. It has a high "ick" factor.

A superpower is granted to three boys, but their significant differences impact its development in them. Or something.

I find it tense and riveting. It also sends a philosopher! (sort of)
