A drug reveals an alien world.

It has undertones which could make it very disturbing, however it is half-tainted by and half-infused with comedy. With a unique universe and being extremely watchable, this is definitely memorable and enjoyable.

I’ve heard it described as Evil Dead II – (1987 movie) meets Naked Lunch – (1991 movie). I think it also has a bit of the spirit of They Live – (1988 movie). If you know and liked those films, you’ll like this one.

A must-watch.

A group of friends visits a cabin in the woods, where research on The Necronomicon was recently done and has possessed the area.

I hate hate hate horror movies, but this kindof isn’t one. This is absolutely mandatory viewing.

If you like this movie, definitely check out John Dies at the End – (2012 movie).
A snippet of Evil Dead can be seen in in the horrible horrible movie Donnie Darko – (2001 movie).
This is the revision of the super 8 mm film movie Within the Woods.

New technology allows a vehicle to pass through solid matter, but something else is brought through.

This is a must-watch movie, not for its story and plot as-such, but for its feel. It has ideas which really stick. I think Buckaroo Banzai might be particularly cool for young boys.

A rough and tough detective is begrudgingly partnered with the first detective of alien refugees, and they follow the trail of his previous partner’s death.

Does not stand the test of time at all. The cop-buddy thing has been done to death since then and probably soils a more recent re-watch of this movie.

This is a editor that does such magical things as use control up/down to skip paragraphs. I love it for in-page bookmarking, code folding, search-replace, escaped-replaces and regular expressions for selections, documents and groups of documents.

The package geany-plugins is important..
I also (sometimes) use Leafpad.

- The author commented that he is not a programmer and that he needs assistance for his ideas. I know exactly how he feels.
- As of 2021-02-26 this situation has not changed.
- 2024-07-17 – Abandoned – The WordPress plugin page states this plugin is closed by the author’s request; RIP.
2.1.3 had a serious vulnerability so I was forced to update; I’ll look for a replacement and maintained footnotes plugin.
