I want to use a USB keypad to control elements of Open Broadcaster Software.
This guide is good, but my script is very thorough. See key remapping.lua

Problem: Given an item in the Internet Archive, e.g. The works of Ralph Waldo Emerson, you may be tempted to download the PDF for its exactness. Admirable! However, my e-reader is horribly slow for opening it and turning pages. I find slow page turning aggravating; it makes me lose my train of thought and strains my reading comprehension.
Solution: Download a different format of individual images, bulk-scale them down exactly to your device’s screen, then package the images back into one single file.
This extra work is well worth it for me.
TODO – See also PDF? I haven’t tested it, but I wonder if “repairing” a PDF would also help with e-reader speed.
Problem: Keep an air gapped (airwalled) computer updated via a sneakernet.
This project focuses specifically on Devuan, though it ought to apply any Linux distribution based on Debian.

There are a lot of people who have been key, at least in hindsight, to my development.
I haven’t really thought about populating this topic, but at a glance..

“A Meditation” is a discourse intended to express its author’s reflections or to guide others in contemplation.
The first two are components of Enlightenment and often lead to the experience of an Epiphany. Some version is an instinctive aspect of genius, often seen in sharpening the saw.

An operating system most notably on mobile phones, but also found on media boxes.
Fundamentally flawed – It is tethered to Google in as many ways as they’ve made possible. From a time server, to internet traffic compression. From google play requiring an account requiring your verified phone number. From hoops to download and install software from their store. It’s fucking awful.
TODO – tested and working, though my most recent Lubuntu experimentation has problems I’m still troubleshooting.
At best, my computer hangs when prompting for a password. I think this is related to the 4.4.14 kernel but have not confirmed this.

These instructions are a lot easier than they seem, and a smart and patient beginner will be able to follow them!
These notes were made on an everyday system with one hard drive which I completely formatted for this purpose.
This concept and these notes build a full-disk Slackware installation which also uses LVM. You can safely ignore the entire LVM post and just follow this one.

Problem: I have a messy old Windows installation, and I want to reinstall it from scratch. However, I own Windows 8, applied the Windows 8.1 upgrade, and then got the free upgrade to Windows 10. I don’t have a Windows 10 installation disk.
I don’t want a new disk, I want a USB stick.
I don’t want Windows itself booting from a USB stick, just the installer on it.
Update: The solution is probably to get the ISO then use Ventoy.
